Will there be no one from Chhatra Dal in the cabinet?
::: মন্ত্রিসভায় ছাত্রদলের কেউ কি থাকবে না?:::
** সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রত্যেকটি রাজনৈতিক দলের ছাত্রনেতারা রাজনৈতিকভাবে মূল্যায়িত হয়েছে। এনসিপির ছাত্রনেতারা জুলাই আন্দোলনকে পুঁজি করে অনেকেই আজ এমপি বনে গেছে, কেউ কেউ বিরাট নেতাও বনে গেছে!
বিগত ১৭ বছরে বিএনপির ছাত্র সংগঠন -- ছাত্রদলের নেতা-কর্মীরা অবর্ননীয় অত্যাচার ও নির্যাতনের শিকার হয়েছে। জুলাই আন্দোলনে ছাত্রদলের ওয়াসিমসহ আরো অনেকেই নিজেদের জীবন দিয়ে ফ্যাসিস্ট হাসিনাকে বিতাড়িত করেছে।
৫ আগস্ট হাসিনার পতনের পরে বাংলাদেশে সবচেয়ে যে শব্দটি বেশি উচ্চারিত হয়েছে সেটি হলো- " তারুণ্য"। ছাত্র-জনতার অভ্যুত্থানে সবচেয়ে বেশি শহীদ হয়েছে ছাত্রদলের নেতা-কর্মীরা। কিন্তু সবচেয়ে আশ্চর্যের বিষয় হলো, যে সংগঠন সবচেয়ে বেশি তরুণদের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে, সেই বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী ছাত্রদলকে সেভাবে কি মূল্যায়িত করা হয়েছে?
বিএনপির মন্ত্রিসভা শপথ নিতে যাচ্ছে। মন্ত্রী হিসেবে কারা কারা থাকতে যাচ্ছেন, তা নিয়ে নানা ধরনের নাম সোশ্যাল মিড়িয়ায় ভাসছে। কিন্তু সেখানে ছাত্রদলের কারো নাম নেই। ছাত্রদল থেকে জাতীয় পর্যায়ে লিডারশিপ আনতে হলে তাদের মন্ত্রীসভাতে ক্ষুদ্র পর্যায়ের হলেও প্রতিনিধিত্ব রাখা উচিত।
অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের সময়ে আসিফ, নাহিদ, মাহফুজ ছাত্র উপদেষ্টা ছিল। এখন নির্বাচনের মাধ্যমে হাসনাত, হান্নান মাসউদসহ আরো অনেকেই এমপি নির্বাচিত হয়েছে। কিন্তু ছাত্রদলের কাউকে নির্বাচনে নমিনেশনই দেয়া হয় নি। ছাত্রদলের রাকিব ,নাসির, আফসানসহ অন্যান্য ক্যারিশমাটিক লিডারদের পলিসি লেবেলে কাজ করার প্ল্যাটফর্ম অবশ্যই বিএনপিকেই করে দিতে হবে। নইলে পাইপলাইনে অন্যান্য রাজনৈতিক দলের চেয়ে বিএনপি পিছিয়ে পড়বে।
পাঁচ আগস্টের আগে ছাত্রদলের রাকিবের সাথে তারেক রহমানের ভার্চুয়াল মিটিং এর ছবি এখনো সোশ্যাল মিডিয়াতে ঘুরে বেড়ায়। রাকিব, নাসির, আফসান এদের যোগ্যতা এবং দেশপ্রেম নিয়ে কারো কোনো সংশয় থাকার কথা না।
২০২২ সালের ২৪মে ছাত্রলীগের হামলায় মারাত্মকভাবে আহত হওয়ার পরেও ছাত্রদলের তৎকালীন সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক আবু আফসান মোহাম্মদ ইয়াহইয়া উচ্চারণ করেন সেই ঐতিহাসিক স্লোগান - "জিয়াতেই শক্তি , জিয়াতেই মুক্তি", যা পরবর্তীতে ছাত্রদলের প্রতিটি নেতা-কর্মীকে প্রভাবিত করেছিল।
ফুটনোট: ছাত্রদলের নেতাদের যথাযথ মূল্যায়ন হলেই; আরো অনেকেই ছাত্রদল করতে আগ্রহী হবে। আশা করি বিএনপির হাইকমান্ড বিষয়টি বিবেচনা করে দেখবে।

::: Will there be no Chhatra Dal members in the cabinet?:::
** In recent times, student leaders of every important political party have been politically evaluated. Many of the NCP student leaders have become MPs today, some have even become great leaders by capitalizing on the July Movement!
In the past 17 years, the leaders and activists of the BNP student organization -- Chhatra Dal have been subjected to indescribable torture and abuse. In the July Movement, Wasim of Chhatra Dal and many others gave their lives to oust the fascist Hasina.
After the fall of Hasina on August 5, the word that has been spoken the most in Bangladesh is - "youth". The leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal have been the most martyred in the uprising of the students and the masses. But the most surprising thing is, has the organization that represents the most youth, the Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal, been evaluated in that way?
The BNP cabinet is going to take oath. Various names are floating on social media about who is going to be the minister. But there is no name from Chhatra Dal there. If Chhatra Dal is to bring leadership at the national level, they should have representation in the cabinet, even if at a small level.
During the interim government, Asif, Nahid, Mahfuz were student advisors. Now, Hasnat, Hannan Masud and many others have been elected MPs through the elections. But no one from Chhatra Dal was nominated in the elections. BNP must provide a platform for Chhatra Dal's Rakib, Nasir, Afsan and other charismatic leaders to work on the policy label. Otherwise, BNP will lag behind other political parties in the pipeline.
Pictures of Tarique Rahman's virtual meeting with Chhatra Dal's Rakib before August 5 are still circulating on social media. No one should have any doubts about Rakib, Nasir, Afsan's qualifications and patriotism.
Even after being seriously injured in the Chhatra League attack on May 24, 2022, the then Organizing Secretary of Chhatra Dal, Abu Afsan Mohammad Yahya, uttered the historic slogan - "Zia tei Shakti, Zia tei Mukti", which later influenced every leader and worker of Chhatra Dal.
Footnote: If the leaders of Chhatra Dal are properly evaluated; many more will be interested in joining Chhatra Dal. I hope the BNP high command will consider the matter.
